Representation of Corpus Patiens in Russian Art of the 1920s

چکیده
Similar to the Russian historical avant-garde of 1910s, which predicted war and social revolution 1917, late 1920s anticipated advent totalitarian terror Stalinist repressions 1930s. In figurative painting, this manifested itself in a specific visual “lexicon” modality (bodily violence fragmented body, frustration, motifs loss, death general catastrophe), as well expressive style (that inherited but not duplicated models European expressionism). addition proposing an analytical classification semantics poetics painting 1920s, present article discusses issue representation political power art presence archaic roots corpus patiens (lat.) motifs. It examines artefacts made by eminent little-known painters avant-garde, including Kazimir Malevich, Alexander Tyshler, Kliment Redko, Georgy Rublev, Aleksandr Drevin, Boris Golopolosov others.
